Asst. QA/QC Manager (Electronic Hardware Trading/ Work-life balance)

Details

Duties:

  • Report to the QA Manager and English speaking Operations Director 

  • Liaise with manufacturers to resolve product rejections by issuing Corrective Action Requests and actions analysis to be taken

  • Perform on-site audits of facilities, including their sub-tier suppliers

  • Work with the Quality Manager to investigate, verify, and resolution of customer rejections and complaints for products 

  • Coordinate customer rejection of products originating from the US facilities

  • Perform ISO9001 for the Internal Audit of the HK facility and provide guidance to the auditors involved.

  • Hosting the annual ISO9001 registration and surveillance audits 

  • Maintain the training and record for HK staff, and identify the need for additional training

  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturers and staff in the day-to-day functions and production of products.

  • Evaluate new sources & align discrepancies to the system. Investigate the validity & accuracy of the ISO certificates presented

  • Maintain and calibrate gauges and inspection equipment. Replenish new equipment with calibration arrangement

  • Monitor and improve the KPIs to meet the stated goals

  • Assist the Sales team in responding to customer questions and inquiries by providing technical assistance 

  • Supervision, guidance, review and mentoring of HK-based QC staff

 

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of working experience

  • With at least 4-5 years of relevant experience with metal fabrication and production of threaded products will be a plus

  • Knowledge of the Electronics Industry quality control process related to fasteners and sheet metal work, as well as calibration and maintenance of gages and inspection equipment, will be an advantage

  • Familiarity with ASTM, GBT, ISO, ANSI, DIN, JIS and other standards as relates to the manufacture, inspection, testing and acceptance of products.

  • Have the qualifications for ISO9001 Lead Auditor or the possibility of becoming certified as such

  • Familiar with various secondary special processes such as heat treating, electroplating, cold heading process, screw machine operations and other fabrication methods

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications / PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and other software programs
