Sales & Marketing Manager (SEA & Pacific)

 

Duties & Requirements:
  • Leading sale representatives in specific countries/areas in line with company strategy and policies

  • Responsible for Sales and Marketing in South East Asia and Pacific (the Territory)
  • Acquires new potential customers, excellent knowledge of the market and its developments is required at all times. Follow up trends and new developments. Uninterrupted and timely information to Management is essential.
  • Promotes new products within the Product lines (Portfolio) This encompasses deep understanding and knowledge of the new products by adequate product training
  • Receives and analyses customer inquiries
  • Sources products and materials to satisfy customer inquiries. This includes adhering to actual company sourcing strategy and global contracts with suppliers
  • Pricing in line with global company strategies and global customer contracts. Prepares quotations including price and terms. Assures proper contract review procedures are followed. Follows up pending inquiries and negotiate special prices and terms to secure orders.
  • Provides courteous timely response to all inquiries both internally and externally. This includes technical clarifications in cooperation with engineering support.
  • Coordinates invoicing and paperwork required by customers, supervises in time deliveries of products sold in close cooperation with Customer Service in HK.
  • Responds to customer quality complaints and undertakes to find solutions for the customer’s benefit in close cooperation with WEIDMANN engineering support.
  • Organization of trade shows (booths), technical seminars in close cooperation with the management.
  • Maintains customer profile and specification files including market intelligence.
  • Provides day-to-day counseling/reporting to customers and suppliers as required.
  • Observes WSI Limits of Authority for this position.
  • Organizing business trips (flights, hotels, rental cars, etc.) and customer appointments on a regular basis and in line with WEIDMANN policies and expense regulations.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written, with customer and all levels of management in English
  • Ability to read and understand technical inquiries and request including technical drawings
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently in SEA and Pacific (~ 2 trips per month)
  • College education in electrical engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a sales environment (Computer literate/broad knowledge of import/export requirements (including Incoterms) depending on territory involved). MBA or electrical/mechanical engineering background will be of benefit
