Jr Purchasing Officer/Asst (US Medical Firm/Full Benefits)

One US-based medical manufacturer/trading firm is now looking for the right candidate to join the team as a Junior Purchasing Officer with below duties and requirements:
Job Duties:
  • Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
  • Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries, and services with suppliers.
  • Negotiate for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery, and service) with suppliers and sub-contractors assigned.
  • Purchase and issue order in accordance to specification.
  • Source for new parts, suppliers, or sub-contractors when the need arises.
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Prepare reports and summarize data for purchases and sales analysis purposes.
  • Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
  • Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
  • Assist in managing and following up overseas orders.
Inventory & Logistics 
  • Handling and monitoring of claims to factories and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts.
  • Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
  • Diploma or above, preferably in Logistics / Stock Management
  • Min 1-2 years of relevant experiences
  • Proficient in use of MS Office and Windows;
  • Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Experience in Animal Health/Medical/Dental market will be an advantage but not a must
  • Good skills in interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving
  • Dedicated, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure
